Volunteer Impact Network
Empowering Change, One Volunteer at a Time
At Project LINK, we believe that community involvement is key to creating lasting change. Our Volunteer Impact Network is an exciting and dynamic way for individuals to actively engage with our mission and make a profound difference in the lives of families in the Tampa Bay area. Whether you have a few hours to spare or are ready to take on a leadership role, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities that will allow you to support our vital programs and create a direct impact in the community.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Back-2-School Health Clinics: Our flagship initiative that provides no-cost school physicals, immunizations, and other essential health services to uninsured, underinsured, and Medicaid-enrolled children in Tampa Bay. Volunteers are needed to serve as Clinic Managers and Coordinators, helping with scheduling, patient flow, and ensuring that clinics run smoothly. You’ll be a vital part of making sure every child is ready for school, healthy, and safe.
Parent Leadership Academy of Tampa Bay: This empowering program helps parents advocate for their children's education and well-being. We are looking for passionate Volunteer Mentors to work alongside parents, assist with workshops, and provide support for family engagement activities. Your role will contribute to creating a positive, empowered community of parents dedicated to their children’s success.
eMerging Healthy Students (eHS): Volunteers for this school-based mental health and wellness program can play a vital role in supporting middle school students facing emotional and behavioral challenges. We are looking for volunteers to assist Mental Health Counselors, coordinate activities, and be a positive influence on students’ well-being.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities:
Digital Media Volunteers: Help us spread the word about Project LINK’s mission and services by managing our social media campaigns, creating engaging content, and executing outreach strategies. This is a great opportunity for those passionate about content creation and digital engagement to drive awareness and action across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Language Translators: During our summer months and especially for the Back-2-School Health Clinics, we need volunteers who can assist with translation to ensure that all members of the community, regardless of their language, can access information and services. Your help will ensure that every individual has the opportunity to participate in our programs and receive the support they need.
Program Recommendations:
To enhance the effectiveness of our Volunteer Impact Network, we recommend expanding our volunteer leadership training to include areas such as cultural competency, emergency response, and mental health first aid. Offering flexible volunteer shifts will also help ensure that all community members, regardless of their schedules, can get involved.
